We have combined over 60 years of experience to better serve our patients. Dr. Michael Zapf is mostly responsible for hte content of this web site.. This site is intended for the patients of The Conejo- Los Robles Podiatry Centers. If you are not a patient, you are still welcome to visit the site and learn what you can about your problem. But the doctors cannot assume any responsibility for your care and cannot offer you any medical advice. You need to see your own professional. This is Sandi, our Billing and Insurance Coordinator. She is very talented. She comes in two or three mornings a week and processes all the insurance claims. Although she is nearly perfect she has been knows to transpose a number here or there. If you have any questions about your bill please call the office. If she is not there we will enter your information in our "Sandi Book" and she will call you right back.

Here is her statement about our billing policy.

The office of Drs. Michael Zapf and Darren Payne office tries to be as helpful as possible where billing is concerned.  We will bill your insurance for you, at no cost, even if you have more than one insurance policy.  We generally wait to bill the you (the patient) until after the insurance company has responded to our billing.  This may take as long as 45 days after your visit to the office.  If your insurance company has not responded after 90 days of our billing, we will send the bill to you.  Our billing cycle to patients is once every 30 days, around the 15^th of the month.

If your insurance information, address or phone number has changed since your last visit, please update our records as soon as possible.   

Since Dr. Zapf and Dr. Payne are preferred providers for many insurance organizations, we ask that you contact your particular policy coordinator before visiting our office to ensure that they are a preferred provider under your policy.  Ours is a very busy office and the PPO status of the doctors and our patients change from time to time without our being aware of it.

Unfortunately we do not participate with nearly any HMOs. If you have HMO insuracne please make sure they have "out-of-network" benefits before you come or are prepared to pay cash at the time of your visit.
