Dear Dr. Zapf:

I wanted to let you know that I just came back from a 12-hour pain-free trip
to Disneyland to celebrate my son's birthday (a Perfect Foot Day or 'PFD' as
I call it)!  Suffering from a painful neuroma condition as I had been, a trip
like this with lots of intense walking would have been impossible a month or
so ago.  However, thanks to your sclerosing therapy treatments, my neuroma
pain is no longer controlling my life.

As you know, I was skeptical to try this treatment at first, having already
tried the cortisone injections with no success.  Reluctantly, but eager to
avoid the much more aggressive surgery, I agreed to try the sclerosing
injections (one per week for a total of 8 weeks).  To my surprise, they were
not painful at all.  Halfway through the series of injections, I began to
notice a vast improvement in my neuroma pain.  Gradually, I noticed I could
wear regular shoes, for longer periods of time, without the horrible,
stabbing pains I had been experiencing all summer.  I kept track of my
progress on a calendar by writing GFD (good foot day) or PFD (perfect foot
day).  After my 5th or 6th injection, nearly every day became a PFD, so I
found it was no longer necessary for me to monitor my condition.

My deepest thanks to you, Dr. Zapf, and also to your kind and supportive
office team.  Everyone has been wonderful!  I'm looking forward to many more
PFD's!  Today, Disneyland, tomorrow, the world!!!

Sincerely,

Karen McG
Oak Park, CA
